"Christmas in the Clouds" Opens Nationwide, November 4, 2005

"Christmas in the Clouds" - the first romantic comedy set in Indian country - is releasing in theaters on November 4th!

Check it out at www.christmasintheclouds.com.

A charming tale of mistaken identity, tribal enterprise and true love, the film was shot at Robert Redford's Sundance Resort in Utah and premiered at the Sundance Film Festival to standing ovations and extra screenings.  Daily Variety calls it “a delightful romantic comedy” and KRON TV critic Jan Wahl says "I love this film!" The film is releasing in theaters throughout California on Friday, November 4 and will be featured in USA Today that same day. (Other markets to follow on 11/18 and 12/2.)

But that's only part of the story... This film is releasing in a very innovative way.  Instead of spending a lot of money on traditional advertising, the studio is making its release a fundraiser for the public schools of California by donating all of its November box office profits to the neediest school districts in the state.

By reaching out directly to communities, working with schools and PTAs and other local groups-- and relying on grass roots word of mouth promotion-- they are able to save money that would have gone into billboards, TV spots  and happy meal toys...money they are passing on to the schools that need it most.

We believe this model can work and that it could change the way the major studios market films to families, channeling millions of dollars to where they are most needed.

This film needs your support during the first weekend of its run!  Please make time to go see it.

The film is a delight - and you will have the added joy of knowing that you did something to support the children in this state.
